About

I grew up on a family farm in southern Saskatchewan.  After graduating from high school I got my engineering degree, where I spent over 18 years as an engineer before transitioning into fulltime farming.  I have always loved farming, technology and creating, which is why this business has been a perfect fit for me and has ultimately allowed me to create some truly realistic scaled replicas/toys (at least in my opinion!).

I started this business in December 2024 and have been growing it ever since.  I 3D printed my first bin several years ago after struggling to come up with a Christmas present for my two nephews (who were hardcore carpet farmers).  After lots of searching and some thinking, I decided the perfect present would be homemade 1:64 scale bins to add to their collection.  I designed a basic 1805 hopper bin in CAD and then printed some on my new 3D printer.  They were a hit.  Flash forward several years, I decided to test the market and see how much demand their might be for these, and I was blown away.  So much so, I decided to start this business, along with improving my designs and greatly expand my offerings.

These models are made by me, not in some factory half way around the world.  I don't take shortcuts and strive to make a quality product that will last.  I utilize CAD software and 3D printers (along with exhaustive testing and trial & error) to create my products.  I have printed countless bins that have ended up in the reject pile because they weren't good enough.  Luckily I learned lots from this and have finally hit the point where I can make and sell a quality project.  I will continue to create new models, as well as adding new features to my current collections (aeration, vents, etc).
